Meet Our Instructors

Our group is small but mighty. We all share love of health and fitness and would love nothing more than to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

Katie Brushett

Katie Brushett

Owner & Instructor

Katie has lived in Coburg for about 6 years with her husband and two daughters. They love raising chickens and growing fresh fruits and vegetables in their garden and orchard.

She has been focused on health and fitness for many years, trying every type of workout she could find. Shortly after having her youngest daughter, she decided she wanted fitness to play a bigger role in her life and became a fitness instructor, teaching classes in different gyms around Eugene. She then began coaching people through their health and fitness journeys remotely as well.

It has been Katie’s dream to open her own community-focused fitness studio in Coburg. Providing a place for people to work on their health & fitness in a supportive environment, and feel comfortable wherever they are at in their journey is an extremely important part of her vision.

Chelsea Roberts

Chelsea Roberts

Dance Instructor

Dancing since age three, Chelsea has experience in jazz, ballet, hip-hop and contemporary. In high school, she danced on her school’s dance team. After graduating, she was the assistant coached of the Sheldon Colleens dance team from 2011 to 2017 and the Sheldon Middle School team from 2009-2012.

In 2016 Chelsea was given the opportunity to teach at a new studio in Eugene called Reign. She has always loved teaching kids and was excited to have the chance to teach some classes for littles. Chelsea taught at Reign for three years including “Mommy and Me” classes, private lessons and performance groups. In June of 2019, Chelsea started her own dance company, Alive, which focuses on classes for kids ages 18 months to 12 years. She currently resides in Eugene with her husband Andrew and their two children Gwenevere and Jack.

Jessica Rasmussen-Williams

Jessica Rasmussen-Williams

Yoga Instructor

Jessica found her way to yoga as an avenue to mentally and physically recover from the grueling training she did for a marathon in 2011.  She quickly became drawn to the present state of mind and physical awareness that yoga provided.  Because of her passion for helping people, she knew she needed to be part of something bigger by teaching so others could experience the same benefits of the practice.  She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Yoga Medicine in February 2014 and is now working toward her 500-houadvanced training

Jessica currently teaches vinyasa and restorative classes at a local studio in Eugene, Oregon while working full-time in the corporate beverage industry. While her training is geared toward using yoga as medicine, she recognizes that no two individual situations are alike and encourages students to focus on listening to what their individual body really needs, not what they think it needs. Jessica adds a balance of softness, strength, and creativity to her classes while keeping mindfulness of the breath and movement at the forefront of her teaching.

Sheila Dykes

Sheila Dykes

Fitness Instructor

Sheila lives with her husband and miniature wiener dog Dudley in a cozy Coburg home. She is a proud mom of an amazing adult daughter and grandma to a fabulous 14 year old young lady. When not working her full-time day job or teaching class she enjoys taking care of her home, cooking, reading, whitewater rafting, skiing, camping, golfing, being outside – and making the most of every minute.

Having always been an athlete she turned her love of fitness into a part-time career teaching group fitness classes 29 years ago for the YMCA.  She believes in FUNctional fitness: fun, yet challenging. She loves helping people build strength and endurance to enhance and improve their everyday life activities.

Sheila is super excited for the opportunity to bring a combo class consisting of kickboxing, endurance weight training, intervals and athletic movements to the community at Coburg Fit Club. It will be a class for both men and women of all levels.  Come get fit with us!

Amber Alexander

Amber Alexander

Yoga Instructor

Amber found her love of yoga, fitness and holistic health (and her joy of teaching) through her own health challenges and the resulting anxiety she experienced as a teen and young adult. Through her long healing process she discovered a passion for helping others build a greater sense of wellness and joy in their daily lives, and her adventure as a health coach, fitness instructor and yoga teacher was born.

Amber loves teaching Barre because of how accessible it can be to people of all body types and fitness levels, and in seeing the strength it helps people find within themselves. She has been a certified Barre Above instructor since April 2018.

Amber completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Sarahjoy Marsh with a focus on trauma informed yoga and social justice. She is currently working on beginning her 300 hour training to earn a specialization in yoga therapy. Amber strives to provide space for each person to connect with their own journey and health needs while providing resources and support to help them create a life of joy and vitality, and build a relationship of trust with their body.

Amber currently teaches Candlelight Yoga, Gentle Yoga and Barre at Coburg Fit Club; as well as Barre and Mindful Motion (aqua yoga) at the Eugene Family Y.
